Why Do You Need Phoenix Models?

We are a professional photography company based in the Phoenix area since 1985. We operate two divisions.

One is our assignment photography work for advertising and business marketing. We seek new talent who are photogenic, versatile and for whom we can come to count on.

Two, we provide stock photos of people and lifestyle to our six international picture agencies. We are seeking people in the Phoenix metro area who are comfortable in front of a camera.

Do I have to be a professional model to schedule a photo session?

Absolutely not. We often work with people who have little or no modeling experience but are entering the business.

How much does a photo shoot cost?

Most often, nothing. How can that be, you ask. Just read the next question and answer!

What do I get from a photo shoot with you?

In short, within the industry models just starting out provide their time to model for a photographer in exchange for a CD of images. It's called TFCD, an exchange of Time For a CD of images. Others do TFP meaning Time For Prints. You will receive a CD with the images we created and you may use them for your modeling portfolios or for personal use.

What does Stevenson Photography get from the shoot and where will these photos be used?

In exchange for all of the portraits, we give you for your portfolio, models give us permission to use some of their images for use by our international stock photo agencies.

What kind of photos will be taken of me?

We photograph head shots to full length portraits in studio and lifestyle on location. Images which can be used commercially and editorial (magazines & books). The images in the slide show on this page will give you a good idea of what we do.

Do you photograph complete nudity or anything related to pornography?

No. We do not. When you research our images online, you'll see that we photograph people of all ages in many everyday situations which reflect healthy, active lifestyles - individuals, couples, families, groups. Recreational activities, home life, the beach, professions, and so much more.

Where does the photo session take place?

The first session takes place in our studio. A session usually lasts about one hour. If we decide to additional photography of you, we'll go on location in the Phoenix area, around Arizona and occasionally to the beach in northern Mexico.

Do I have to provide a hair stylist and/or makeup artist?

Normally for studio sessions, we do not. We expect each model to do his or her own hair and makeup. Or feel free to bring someone who can do it with you to assist.

What is a model release?

It is a written agreement between photographer & model regarding the use of images by the model and by the photographer. This legal document, when signed by both parties, acknowledges that the images of you can be used for commercial purposes anywhere in the world. Both we and our agencies have strict guidelines in our contracts which prohibit use of  your image in any offensive way. This is spelled out in detail in our model release.

Okay, how do I schedule a photo session?

Simple. Just email or call us and ask to schedule a session. If you have a Facebook and/or MySpace page, let us know. We'll provide you with future dates and times.

How do I prepare for a modeling session?

For us to create great images and make you look good requires preparation on our part AND YOURS. We put a great deal of time into planning our photo shoots, and we expect the very best from ourselves and you should bring your very best prep and effort with you.
